Mission & Goals

The Centre for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Ghana connects Ghana, Africa and Latin America through interdisciplinary research, innovative education, strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange. CLAS creates opportunities for researchers, students, policymakers, diplomats, businesses, civil society organizations and communities to engage with one another around shared histories, contemporary challenges and future possibilities. Our work contributes to the internationalization of the University of Ghana while strengthening South–South knowledge partnerships and expanding Ghana's engagement with Latin America and the Caribbean.
