Welcome to the Center for Latin American Studies

The Centre for Latin American Studies at the University of Ghana seeks to be a hub in the sub-region for systematic engagement with Latin America and the Caribbean as relates to all spheres of human endeavor be they academic, economic, social, political, and cultural. It is dedicated to the promotion of interdisciplinary scholarly research and exchanges, informing policy decisions, advancing business engagements, and stimulating socio-cultural interactions between Ghana, the sub-region and Latin America.  It aims to be a focal point for coordinating and managing activities and matters relating to Latin America and will serve as a Center for research, exchange, information, community outreach, and advocacy.

CLAS welcomes individuals and entities with an interest in Latin America and the Caribbean for programs, activities, and collaborations of mutual benefit.
